These collage works were created at the art-based workshop in October 2022, organised by the MIMY Team at ILS Dortmund in cooperation with Train of Hope Dortmund e.V.
Facilitated by an art pedagogue, this workshop created a safe environment and provided space for young migrants in vulnerable conditions to reflect on their experiences in the city of Dortmund upon their arrival. Instead of focusing on the barriers and negative experiences that they experienced, young migrants preferred to focus on the future possibilities, and pictured these in a positive way.
