During the photovoice workshops organized in Milan and Reggio Emilia in May 2022 by the MIMY Project researchers, participants (young immigrants and Italian students) were asked to take some photos representing moments of integration or non-integration in their life contexts. Participants played a leading role in all phases of the photovoice. They took their own photos, commented on their own photos and those of others, and reflected on the themes that emerged from the discussion. Some of the photos collected according to a selection made by the participants themselves, were displayed in a final exhibition that took place in the atrium of the university for easy viewing.
